Max, a long-time canine resident at the Woeisme Animal Shelter and Pumpkin (a.k.a Killer), a combative stray cat, have nothing in common but their hope of escape. Following the wildly successful Woofstock adoption event, Max and Pumpkin, the only two remaining pets, see their prospects diminish even further when they are adopted by Jesse and given (gasp)...jobs! But is this work really so bad? WHAT MAKES THIS SHOW SO SPECIAL?

There is no other camp like Musicals for Change Summer Theatre Camp! Not only do we sing, dance, act, paint, and build, but we also serve our community by supporting a worthy nonprofit whose mission is tied to the theme of our musical. Our goal is not to create divas, but to build caring human beings who know the power of the arts and their own voices.
And because our shows are written by veteran composer Diane Beckstead with recordings by ace producer Joe Milton, campers experience the joy of the creative process, from originating characters to developing scenes and songs. Each summer show is the workshop performance of a brand new Musicals for Change offering which will then become available to theatre organizations worldwide. |

WHY Musicals for Change?
Founded by composer and music educator Diane Beckstead, our company knows what kids like and teachers want! Conversation starters, special activities, and devotions are all included with our kids' musicals, along with unlimited downloadable scripts, scores, and production notes. Professional rehearsal and performance tracks by Dove-nominee Joe Milton guarantee our songs are second to none! And because we know directors want real substance, our stories feature kids being kids. We're not big on goofy stereotypes or shallow characters. Our characters are just like your students - funny, clever, often silly, deep thinking, well-meaning, and sometimes flawed. Offstage, your students will have the opportunity to engage in conversations and service projects for nonprofit partners specific to each show's theme. Once you've performed a Musicals for Change show, you, your students, and your audience will have made the world a better place!
