If You Could Dance in My Shoes tells the story of Penny, a homeless girl who unexpectedly finds joy when a friend helps her decorate her shabby shoes and inspires others to do the same, leading to a community project and plans for a neighborhood dance. However, their plans are jeopardized when their artsy high tops are stolen by a student to sell at his father's shoe store, causing Penny's more privileged classmates to experience what it means to 'walk in anothers shoes.' If You Could Dance in My Shoes is a mission project, art project, and dance musical all rolled into one big impactful show with a powerful message - everyone deserves love and empathy. Written for a cast of 12 or more, ages 8-14, the Score Package includes:
