Helpful Hints:

  • Penny's car can be simple or more complex.  Directions for making a car frame from PVC pipe is included in the show Resources section of this website
  • It's fun to begin the sock hop scene in blacklight!  White wristbands or sweatbands enhance the movement.  Fluorescent paint will glow but the show logo will not glow on T-shirts unless special ink is used.
  • All sound effects are included on the Performance Trax.  Dad's voice is also included, but the Teacher's voice is not.
  • Students will have fun decorating their own shoes!  Each cast member needs regular tennis shoes AND a pair of shoes decorated with fabric paint, patterned duct tape, colored laces, etc.  More information can be found in the Director's Guide.
