A joyous musical mission to benefit Soles4Souls -
because no child should be without shoes!
If You Could Dance in My Shoes tells the story of Penny, a homeless girl who unexpectedly finds joy when a friend helps her decorate her shabby shoes and inspires others to do the same, leading to a community project and plans for a neighborhood dance. However, the plans are jeopardized when their artsy high tops are stolen by another student to sell at his father’s shoe store, causing Penny’s more privileged classmates to experience what it means to "walk in anothers' shoes.”
From Terry Taylor, editor of Growing in Grace: ...."it is a winner!"

- It's fun to begin the sock hop scene in blacklight! White wristbands or sweatbands enhance the movement. Fluorescent paint will glow but the show logo will not glow on T-shirts unless special ink is used.
- All sound effects are included on the Performance Trax. Dad's voice is also included, but the Teacher's voice is not.
- Students will have fun decorating their own shoes! Each cast member needs regular tennis shoes AND a pair of shoes decorated with fabric paint, patterned duct tape, colored laces, etc. More information can be found in the Director's Guide.
